Awesome news! Word of mouth helps, but you had to write an industry-changing book to begin with, so it is us who are still thanking you.

As I’ve told you many times, it’s about the structural reveals, it’s about the all-powerful 15 beat-beatsheet, it’s about the incomplete hero, it’s about the mighty logline, it’s about popes in the pool, double mumbo-jumbos, black vets, slow glaciers, AND it’s also about a wonderful thing…
It’s about “THE YES”. The boosting, positive, optimistic approach of teaching us that we can do it.

She asked me if it was just for screenwriters, and I told her that was the intended first audience, but that it was great for anyone starting any narrative project. It could be because your book is just plain brilliant; it could be that it is the best for screenplay writers or it could be my reveiw on my website that did it all! LOL.
I wrote in Amazon that everybody points that the second act “is” the movie, but no one shows you what a second act looks like, much less how to write one. Nobody, that is, but Blake. My comment has been well received.
“Save the cat!” makes my other screenwriting books look dumb and boring.
Having already read more than a half dozen other books, listened to tapes and watched videos on screenwriting, I knew I had finally arrived at the clearest and smartest path to writing when I read both Cats. Then at the workshops, I was in awe of you, Blake, and your enthusiasm and optimism. Even through “Dark Night of the Soul” Saturday night rewrites, when I felt so confused, terrified and pressured, I didn’t want to let myself down and more so, I didn’t want to let you down. You are an inspiring teacher and deserve every success. Congratulations. Can’t wait for the new Cat #3!

I recently had my first opportunity to recommend the Cat books (I only discovered them this summer). I felt like a salesperson with a product that sells itself, or a social worker who was able to get someone a job and off the streets, or a recruiter for a new guerrilla movement ready to take over the world of story! (I can’t help it–I still get excited about the Cat books).
Anyway…a friend was working on comic books, and was having trouble with story structure. I don’t know a thing about writing comics, but I thought, “surely a good story is a good story, no matter the length or format.” So, I told him about the Cat books. That night he bought them on Amazon. Days later I saw him again and he was fired up about his new Cat books, telling me what a “great read” they are, and how happy he is with them.
Congratulations again, and get that third book on the shelves soon! :)
