In 2006, Blake Snyder and I were approached by a screenwriter named Bob McFarlane, who proposed creating software for us based on Blake’s first book, Save the Cat!
Thus began a relationship that still flourishes, based on an unwavering dedication—not to mention thousands and thousands of hours—to what is now the fifth version of the Save the Cat! Story Structure Software and our fantastic iOS app.
Bob had one primary goal: to help writers write. And that is what he tried to do every day for the last 17 years.
Of course, Bob was so much more than his work. He was a caring, devoted husband to Kathy. A loving dad.
And a loyal friend we will always appreciate and never forget.
