This Saturday afternoon from 4 -5 p.m.west coast time I will be on the air! Gil Whiteley of KNUS AM 710 in Denver, Colorado will be interviewing the author of Save the Cat! The Last Book On Screenwriting You’ll Ever Need.

And the author is really excited about this.

Gil is a great film critic in the Denver area and found the book on Amazon — and knew exactly what is was just by looking at the cover!

As you know the “save the cat” moment is that one where we meet the hero in a film and he does something nice — like saving a cat — that makes us like him and want to root for him.

The lack thereof in many films, or at least not paying attention to the need for it, is a pet peeve of mine — and of Gil’s it turns out. We will be discussing this “rule” and others found in the book and taking questions from listeners for the full hour.

If you’d like to listen in, you can, even if you’re not in the Denver area, by going to the KNUS website (www.710knus.com) and tuning in via Internet. You can call in no matter where you are.

We hope this leads to a weekly radio show where screenwriters phone with questions about their scripts in progress — and don’t you think that would make a great Saturday afternoon show??

Right between Klick and Klack the car talk guys and the local computer expert, right? Can you see it? Or hear it, rather?

Yes! Absolutely!
