We just received great news from writer Barry Cutler:

On June 28th, our short film, “PRESUMPTION,” won awards for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Cinematography and Audience Favorite at the Detroit-Windsor International Film Festival.

It was a 48-hour film challenge. We beat out the story using the Cat! method from 8:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. on a Friday night. We wrote the first draft in about 2 hours and then tweaked the script to a final draft by 5:00 a.m. The crew shot and edited it Saturday and Sunday.

Here’s “PRESUMPTION” in a nutshell (it’s a film noir WHYDUNNIT):

On the verge of celebrating the biggest victory of his career, locking up a mobster for murder, a hot shot District Attorney finds himself on the wrong side of the bars, accused of brutally murdering his wife and kids.  He enlists the help of the New DA (his Ex-Lover and former Assistant) to find out who set him up and why — if in fact he was framed.

Thanks, Blake!
