Screenwriter Alden Olmsted met Blake Snyder several times back in the day. His book, A Virus Ate My Movie, chronicles how Alden started a BMX bike company at 19, then 25 years later made a movie about it called 30 Bikes, and then released the film at the onset of a global pandemic.
The book will inspire you with a true-life account of a small-town kid with a big dream, a humorous but accurate portrayal of the challenges of low-budget filmmaking, and a dash of Hollywood story structure thrown in for good measure.
Alden has a kickstarter campaign to finance the publication of A Virus Ate My Movie. Check out Alden’s Kickstarter Campaign>>
