Congratulations to John Moore, author of the “business-inspired screenplay,” Tough Love.
In this compelling interview on The Daily Blog of www.800ceoread.com, John talks about Blake Snyder’s influence on his latest.
It’s a fascinating read about an innovative use of the STC! principles.

Thanks for the mention. SAVE THE CAT was indeed the catalyst for my business book done as a screenplay. I followed, for the most part, Blake’s Beat Sheet to “fake” my way through writing a screenplay. I say “fake” because I’m a total amateur wannabe when it comes to screenwriting. Nonetheless, the process in writing the TOUGH LOVE screenplay was exciting, educating, and highly worthwhile.
SAVE THE CAT is Blake’s legacy. I’m fortunate my improv comedy friends pointed me to his books.
