Hello,
I recently watched Last Samurai with Tom Cruise, i did a beat sheet and i have trying to sort its genre, i came down to buddy love or insitutionalized, i figured it was similar to Avatar or Pocahontas but wanted to get more insight thank you!

Yes, it's in the Institutionalized genre.

I haven't seen this one, but from what I know of it, it would fit into Institutionalized. (Ironically, it's on my list to watch in the very near future, too!)
