DESCRIPTION:Start with an idea and finish with the 15 beats of your story in this live writing workshop.\nIn this live Zoom workshop with 4 sessions over 2 weeks\, you’ll dig deep to develop a compelling film or novel\, along with your pitch—based on the Save the Cat!® methodology.\n\nCrack your logline\nIdentify your Hero\, Goal\, Obstacle\, and Stakes\nDevelop the Theme that motivates your Hero’s actions\nCreate the arc for your Hero to transform\nWork out all 15 beats of your story\n\nA MAXIMUM OF 8 STUDENTS MEANS YOU WILL BE GUIDED BY THE INSTRUCTOR STEP-BY-STEP\, BEAT-BY-BEAT. \nThis class is for all storytellers\, no matter your medium. John is a TV writer\, playwright\, and screenwriter. He teaches Screenwriting at Drexel University and Playwriting and TV Writing at Temple University. He worked as a script doctor for New Line Cinema\, and has written for the shows Arthur and Treasure Trekkers. As a playwright he has won the Mickey Kaplan New American Play Prize for Ephemera\, the John Gassner Award for Leap\, and the Macy’s New Play Prize for Young Audiences for The Last Wish.
